What Makes This Policy So Special

Many race organizations have strict, no-change policies. At Cal Tri Events, supporting athletes means meeting them where they are. Our Free Race Transfer + Deferral Policy allows athletes to make last-minute changes without losing their registration or fees.

The Deferral Process: Two Steps That Matter

Step 1: Defer Your Race

This first step puts your registration on hold.

• Deadline: 11:59 PM the day before your race
• Result: Your registration is protected

Step 2: Claim Your Deferral

After the initial deferral, you must log back in and claim your entry once registration opens for the next year.

• Deadline: December 31 at 11:59 PM of the same year
• Result: You're officially entered into your new race

If Step 2 isn't completed by the deadline, your registration expires and cannot be reinstated.
