Overall, the U.S. Ironman 70.3 calendar is showing solid momentum in 2026, with finishers across repeat events up 7.3% year over year (26,985 vs. 25,024). Including new events, total finishers are up 8.0%, to 31,553.
Growth is broad-based, with 12 of the 17 returning events posting year-over-year gains, including particularly strong increases at Pennsylvania Happy Valley (+47%), Musselman (+34%), and Muncie (+25%). This suggests healthy underlying demand across much of the established 70.3 portfolio.
The new-event contribution is more mixed, however. The four new races—Ruidoso, Northern California, Omaha, and Dallas-Little Elm—account for 4,568 finishers, but average only about 1,142 finishers per event, below the average of roughly 1,588 across the 17 returning races.
